Visit to MLZ neutron diffraction facilities in Germany

Very first measurements in Hi-Life was successfully performed at MLZ, Garching, Germany. I visited the facilities for 5 days and carried out stress and strain measurements on untested (virgin) samples.

In this research visit, I was able to measure 3 samples of S355 HFMI treated and untreated welds, as well as one S690 untreated weld with their corresponding reference samples.
